The presence of a Zeppelin branded with the Charal sponsor alongside Jérémie Beyou’s IMOCA at the start of the Transat Jacques Vabre from Le Havre on 7 November certainly did not go unnoticed.
Jérémie Beyou’s team uses two Zeppelin rigid inflatable boats, powered by Suzuki engines. These are two 850 XV PRO models, fitted with different engines for different purposes.
One, always alongside the racing yacht in port, is specifically dedicated to supporting port arrivals and departures.
The second Zeppelin accompanies the IMOCA during technical sea trials. Equipped with a 350 hp engine, it is able to follow the boat at speeds of up to 30 knots while ensuring comfort and safety for the technical teams and accompanying sponsors. This is essential for the team, which needs to monitor the yacht’s behaviour from a distance, assess sail shape, and make trimming adjustments, as explained by this video
The entire Zeppelin team wishes Jérémie Beyou and his co-skipper Christopher Pratt the best conditions and performance for this 14th edition of the Transat Jacques Vabre.
